Trump Wants To Help Rapper A$AP Rocky Get Released From Jail In Sweden

July 19, 2019

President Trump took to Twitter Friday to share his opinion on the A$AP Rocky situation in Sweden and said he will do what he can do have the rapper released from jail.

Trump said that he plans to call the Swedish Prime Minister and see what he can do to have the American rapper and his friends released from jail. They have been behind bars for two weeks since July 2, following a June 30 street fight that broke out in Stockholm. No charges have been filed against the rapper yet, but ABC reported that a Swedish judge ordered that Rocky will be detained until at least July 25.

Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Jada Pinket-Smith and other artists have spoken up about freeing Rocky, and #freeASAPRocky is trending on Twitter. Some artists are calling out Sweden and canceling shows in the country, like T-Raww. Tyler the Creator said he will never go back to Sweden.

At the news of Trump's help — which came after the president talked to West — Kardashian West tweeted her thanks to him, Mike Pompeo, Jared Kushner and other government officials involved.

"Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated," Kardashian Kim tweeted.
