This weekend marks the start of Halloween season in New Orleans. And, of course, that calls for a parade.

The Krewe of Boo's annual Halloween Parade Saturday night is unlike any other in the world. Frightening floats feature spooky images that come to life, as the parade rolls along a shorter route this year, due the to Hard Rock Hotel collapse.

"We're not going up Canal Street, so we're expecting dense crowds.

We'll be rolling at a snail's pace in order to drag it out as long as we can," says parade producer Brian Kern.

But, he says this year's parade, though a bit shorter, is bigger than ever, with 15 floats, including three super floats, over 35 marching groups, riding groups, and lots of throws.

He says parade goers will be able to catch a lot of them.

"We start promptly at 6:30 and I do not want the parade to end before 8:30. So, it'll last at least two hours. If you're on the street, watching the parade roll by, it should take over an hour to pass you
by."
